  (BEACHED SKIFFS), SALEM, MAY 26, 1887. Signed in pencil, "Edith Loring Getchell." After studying etching in Philadelphia with Stephen Parrish, Edith Loring Peirce Getchell traveled in 1884 to France, Germany and England, but she continued to favor American landscapes.
