  HARVEST IN SAN JUAN, NM, 1883. White 11, Keppel 74, Liibrary of Congress 9. Signed in the plate. A brilliant impression in fine condition. Moran, in his paintings, drawings, and etchings, was one of the first artists to record life in New Mexico. He also made a painting (Eulich Coll., Dallas, TX) and a watercolor (Amon Carter Museum) of this extraordinary scene of Indians using horses to thresh wheat at the San Juan Pueblo on the Rio Grande about 30 miles north of Santa Fe.
